Comments: Hooters is a VERY special little girl to us. Littermate to our own Gabe and Mike, and niece of our LB and the late greyt CJ, Hoots is family. We first met her when she was only a few hours old, and have loved her ever since. Her personality is friendly but fairly quiet, though she does have her goofy moments. She's a well-behaved young lady who is used to being loved and quite ready to return it. The problem is that we love her too much to let her very far out of our sight, so she must go to a local adopter or to someone we already know well and know we will be in close touch with.

Hoots' brother Gabe has been one of our own couch potatoes since August of '01, and he's been an absolute delight. Another brother, Mike, will come home to the same couch when he retires, which will probably be fairly soon. Her fawn brother, Harry, is promised to dear friends when he retires. And her sister, Livvy, has just gone to the farm to begin a second career in the motherhood business, after which she will go to close friends in NJ. Somehow Hooters was the only one not to be claimed as a puppy, but we never really tried to pre-arrange adoptions for this litter. It just sort of happened because our friends know and love this beautiful family of hounds.

We have LOTS of pictures of Hoots and her family. To see her and her siblings as they grew up, go here.

Update: Our beautiful Hoots is going home soon, and she'll be living nearby! She has a lovely new Mom, so we're excited for her, but so sad to have to say goodbye.
